Poetry: Simple refuge

by Fran Mascioli

Created on: November 22, 2011   Last Updated: December 03, 2011

Pulled up roots and moved far away twenty years ago.  The purpose was to find... no one I would know.

Raised my daughters in a secure safe place, while counting our blessings for His amazing grace.

The Deep South is such a beauty to behold.  "Just seeking a warm climate" is the story I told.

Hard times make us wise, and a bit stronger.  We learn to appreciate the good times a moment longer.

The girls are now grown, and off on their own.  Yet, this wonderful refuge… I still lovingly call home.

We gather here often and share love beyond measure.  I am so grateful for this town: my hidden treasure!
