Forest Park Southeast is located to the south and east of Forest Park. The northern boundary is Interstate 64/Highway 40. The west border is made up of South Kings Highway Boulevard. The southern boundary reaches almost to Interstate 44, and the east boundary stretches from a few blocks northwest of Tiffany Park at a slant towards South Grand Boulevard until it reaches Interstate 64/Highway 40 once more. Within the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood is Adams Park. To the north is Xavier, St. Louis University, Turner Park, Kindred Hospital and the Central West End Metrolink. To the east is the St. Louis University Medical Center, Tambo Park, Eads Park, The Gate neighborhood and Harris-Stowe University. Interstate 44, the Shaw Neighborhood Dog Park, Compton Hill Reservoir Park, Tower Grove Park and Gravois Plaza are all to the south of Forest Park Southeast. Residents who travel east will find Forest Park Hospital, Forest Park, Turtle Playground, the Highlands Gold and Tennis Center, Jewel Box the St. Louis Zoo, Dwight Dennis Tennis Center, Grand Basin and the St. Louis Art Museum Café.

While the low income level is around $15,000 per year, high income earners receive more than $40,000 per year. At 0.767 square miles, there are over 3,700 residents living in Forest Park Southeast. Housing values range from almost nothing to over $200,000. Most homes are under $100,000. This is a young person’s neighborhood, with many families residing here as well. There are not many middle-aged or elderly residents. Though the majority of people living here are African-Americans, there are Caucasians and at least three other races of people who call the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood their home too. The crime rating for the city of St. Louis is 1 out of a possible 100, where 100 is the best possible score. The neighborhood of Forest Park Southeast is second to the worst of all neighborhoods for crime. Though many families do live here, it is not a recommended area for them. To the east is a far better, more crime-free neighborhood. However, living in a more crime-free neighborhood often requires a bigger budget to afford the cost of living there.
