Cleaning between your teeth is stressed by the dentist, but why?  It's so important to clean between your teeth and keep your mouth fresh at all times. First of all, you do not want plaque to build up. That is one of the reasons you brush your teeth and floss. It's equally important to floss after you brush to remove any plaque that has built up on your teeth. You are supposed to brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day.  Plaque buildup can cause all kinds of dental problems.  Therefore, it needs to be taken care of and this can be done by cleaning between your teeth.

Another important reason to clean between your teeth is so that food particles will not get between your teeth. That can cause a lot of problems with your teeth. You should at least brush once in the morning and before bedtime. You can also rinse your mouth with mouthwash after brushing.  Cleaning between your teeth will prevent food particles from accumulating in between your teeth.

It's important to clean between your teeth to keep your teeth looking healthy. You do not have to brush your teeth hard. You can brush them gently and brush them the correct way. Your teeth are important to you and you want to keep them as healthy as possible.  A healthy looking mouth feels good to have and cleaning between your teeth can ensure that this happens.

Another important reason it's important to clean between your teeth is to keep your breath fresh and clean. It's hard to brush your teeth when you are out in public or you go to a restaurant, but you can always carry floss with you and go to a private area and floss after you eat a meal.  When a bunch of junk accumulates between your teeth, your breath begins to stink and nobody wants to be around you.

Bacteria is another reason why you should clean between your teeth.  If bacteria builds up, it can cause infection or sores to form in your mouth.  Bacteria can even potentially become dangerous to your mouth and even your body.

Cleaning between your teeth make for a healthy mouth and a mouth that people won't mind looking at.  It is not only health, but appearance that you are protecting.
