Words that conceal what’s real
Line sentences with honey
Make people part with love or money
Provide a velvet bed that’s sunny
Words can make or break
Your heart or tame confusion
Leading to derision and delusion
Abatement or collusion
Reading between lines lost
Spills truth in silent thoughts
Rudeness and retorts
Best left uncaught

Poetry: In other words
In other words, I’m like a spinning clock,
With no end in sight, no way to stop.
A whirl wind of thought, I can not
When I say, “Fine!”
That means let it go.
We are done talking about it,
Don’t you get it, don't you know?
"The stars are in your eyes"
In other words “I like you.”
"Your skin is warm"
In other words “I need you.”
I wish that you had said the things you meant,
Instead of choosing other words to hide,
Dishonest words which hid their real
by Hanna Joseff
Velvet gloves, taupe sky
Bind with words, shoe laces untie
Reminiscent mower feel
Dilapidated empathy
Sometimes at a loss
