I like to think I'm romantic
I mean, I've loved at least three times
Each time it was more dramatic
Each one accompanied by stars and chimes
Every one of my romances
Resulted in our being wed
Some dinners, a couple dances
A few kisses then our honeymoon bed
The third time I did it just right
I wooed and cooed and reeled her in
She didn't give much of a fight
I think I was the prize she wanted to win
The true meaning of romance cant be known
Its different for every occasion
Romance can not be taught or shown
It erupts with every situation
Romance is no more than putting them first
Forsaking your pleasures for their need
Just let your heart lead or let it burst
In true romance your heart will indeed bleed
Don't let any story book definition
Dictate how you treat your chosen
Let your actions express your ambition
Never let anything, your romance lessen
Should you love her or him as your heart leads
You will have no problem with romance
They are your number one priority
Through every minute of this life's dance
To sum it up, the true meaning of romance
Is seeing to it his or her needs are met
Never take a rest, don't take a chance
Of losing your love, of losing that bet.
