I guess you could say back in 1990 for example, living in a metropolitan area and on your way to work, you would stop by the gas station or a party store that is open in the morning to pick up your newspaper for some change. Or if it was Sunday, you would buy a newspaper with more pages and costing you a dollar and some change, and you got the day special edition of extend the classified section with more coupons.

20 years later, if provided you still live in a metropolitan area of a major United States city, you still can go to the corner gas station or store to pick up the local paper. But one does have choices. If you do have a computer, laptop, cell phone, or a tablet PC, if your Inconvenience by walking or making a stop to the store during your commute to work, good news! Just power – up your PC or turn your IPad on, and through the information superhighway, your metropolitan newspaper is there right in front of you… On-screen.

Now, rewinding back to 1990, in some metropolitan areas, you would have the choice of the cities newspaper and perhaps a newspaper from a populated county or a small city nearby trying to go against a large monster. You could also find, back in those days, some copies of USA Today available for your choice, and a few places out there In the eastern United States would also carry the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. I remember seeing commercials about buying a subscription to any of these papers in Detroit.

Now in these days, you would have a for ID of news websites to take a look at. All in the comfort of your own home or work or just stopping at the gas station and waiting in line to pay for your snacks while surfing the Web via your cell phone. You have your local newspaper as a website, any other local news outlets from any populated cities nearby, you also have USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Detroit News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Las Vegas Sun. Heck, you can take a look at the what’s happenings at Gallup, New Mexico if you wish. What about London? Dublin? Toronto? Johannesburg, South Africa? If that newspaper has upgraded to a website, you do have access. And it’s not just newspaper too, you also have access to CNN, CBS, Fox News, and also NPR news. Compared to what you had in 1990, you have more options without costing you a dime (apart from a few newspaper sites who do charge and also sites that force you to take a look at in ad before
