I met you,
When I was just 12 yrs old,
I couldn't stand you,
But little did I know,
You were going,
To be in my life forever.
It took a little while,
Before I got used to you,
Before just the site of your smile,
Melted my heart.
From then on,
My heart belonged to you.
Yeah we fought,
Yeah we hurt each other,
But eventually we grew up...
And saw that we,
Needed each other to survive.
One year ago,
On your birthday,
I agreed to marry you,
My prince charming,
My knight in shining armor,
Your everything I ever needed,
And everything I will always need.
This year on June 28,
I looked into your eyes,
Slide the ring on your finger,
And swore to do everything I could,
To ensure your happiness,
Your safety,
And... Your love.
Then came around to November..
The 8th popped up,
And out popped your daughter,
I've never seen you so happy,
Never seen a smile that big,
On your face for so long.
I look at our baby,
And I can't believe,
That she came out of me,
Can't believe we created her together.
For a pain so great,
A pain so long and intense,
Our love for her...
Is so immense.
Everyone who looks at her,
Can see she's yours,
Every eye turned her way,
Can't look away,
She's beautiful,
She's sweet,
I just wish,
She took something after me.
She looks like you,
And acts like you,
But to me,
I love her that much more,
She is just another you,
Whom I get to love,
And to hold.
Sean,
I want to thank you,
For being so wonderful,
So perfect,
I love you and our baby girl,
To no end,
You both make me so happy.
And in the end,
I'm glad I married you,
I'm glad I said I do.
I'm glad we had our little angel.
Now I can't wait,
To watch her grow,
To watch you play and romp,
With your daughter,
Teach her to protect herself,
And to know right from wrong.
Your a wonderful daddy,
A great husband,
A super friend,
And a fantastic lover.
I Love You.

Poetry: Love and marriage
We have fallen into the "old routine" again
I know you can feel it, too
My womanly qualities have diminished
As I now feel
by Scott Scherr
Two souls entwined
A tangled mess.
Wound up so tight
Insane with bliss.
A cord so strong
Became a noose.
Until we traded
Illusion for
I see your face,
You call my name,
All my senses,
Go insane.
A passionate kiss,
Your scent provokes,
A gasp, a sigh,
Love uncloaks.
Love and marriage, an approach
Drawn close by belief and trust
In a new beginning bond as one
To share life's entirety together.
by Moeze Lalji
One thought says
Marriage must
Have love
To stay together
Yet the love
We talk about
Is not as defined
By the media
The love of
Normal
