Well the holidays are here again, and you may be wondering what you're going to put in your little one's stocking. So here are a few ideas that might help out. teething toys are wonderful, not only can they chew on them to relieve some of that teething ache but they can also play with the toy and have fun (although they can have fun with just about anything at this age).
Pacifiers are great for the smaller ones as well as thin little blankets not only can they get a lot of use out of them, but they will last a while too. Most parents won't really like the idea of this one but plush noise maker toys (no vibrations for the smaller ones), but these toys are developmental toys they help the child learn and help develop their sense of sound, also toys with lights or different textures of fabric are a good idea as well, it helps stimulate senses as well as the baby's young mind.
Something else that might come in handy (for mommy) is add a couple of onesies or bottles maybe even diapers and baby wipes. All of these are great ideas for your infant's Christmas stocking. Try to think of something that mommy AND baby will both enjoy and get a lot of use out of. For instance, clothing, bottles, pacifiers, blankets, lotion, baby soap, wash rags, just about anything the baby can use and if its an older baby, put toys in the stocking as well, just depending on the age. If the infant can eat solids or baby food add a couple jars.
Try to make sure what ever you put in the infants stocking is age appropriate as well as proved safe for the infant. For instance candy for a newborn is not a good idea in any aspect, and clothing wise a jumper for a three month old isn't a good gift for an infant six months old.
For younger infants softer plush toys are good ideas, not hard plastic toys. You could also put ornaments into the stocking saying something like "Baby's First Christmas". Just make sure what ever you give the baby will be safe for him/her; we don't want a Christmas spent with a trip to the Emergency Room. Make sure there are no small parts the baby can choke on, no sharp edges the infant to get hurt from, and that what ever it is, is toxic free.
