Getting fit without spending money

You do not have to spend vast amounts of money in your quest to keep fit and healthy. Indeed, the fitness and health industry makes millions of dollars/pounds out of people, all striving for the same thing - a fit and healthy body. But do people really need to spend such huge amounts of money in the gym in order to keep their bodies in trim?

Look around you for you have your very own gym right within your own

home. With just a little imagination and thought you can keep fit just as well, if not better, than if you where attending a gym. All it takes is improvisation, and making a little space for yourself within your living room, in order for you to do your exercises.

Make some space in whichever room you happen to use the most, then simply begin your exercise routine. Begin by warming up.. Warm up too fast and you could end up pulling and tearing muscles. So, slow and steady is the order of the day. Slow stretching of the leg muscles warms the muscles and they also get the blood flowing. It is important to remember that muscles that are cold will increase the chances of tears and pulls, if you do not warm up properly..

With enough space created within your room, begin by doing five to ten press up - you can increase the number as you go on during the month. Then jog, or run, on the spot. This builds up your stamina, uses a lot of energy, and works your leg and chest muscles - including your lungs - as well as your arms.  Sit-ups, which work your back, stomach muscles, legs, and chest can be be done anywhere. And these will help trim your waist and flatten your belly, overtime.

If you have an excercise bike at home, then use this too as this will build up your leg muscles - and increase stamina levels.  In your kitchen, place your hands upon the sink, stretch your legs out, and and press down, as if you are doing press-ups. This will work your chest and arm muscles - as well as your legs.

With your heart pumping, the calories you burn up may not seem like a lot, but even over a week, it will be. This is because your body will continue to burn calories long after you have completed your exercises. So, in other words, it is almost as if your body is on a slow burner, burning calories as you relax. So jogging or running on the spot, press ups, sit ups, and cycling - whether indoors or out - will get your body working and the blood flowing.

Introducing dance routines into your excercise regimes are again, another great
