The Patch neighborhood is located right along the west side (Missouri side) of the Missouri river. It runs north to Bellerive Park where it juts out east to Interstate 55. The jut out section runs north and south for just a few blocks. From that section the border of the neighborhood runs south along South Broadway until reaching the smaller river inlet which it follows to Interstate 55. At Interstate 55 the boundary goes north until reaching the southeast corner of Carondelet park. The Patch neighborhood does not include those areas belonging to the Carondelet neighborhood. Sinai Cemetery, Ohlendorf County Park, Gravois Creek Conservation Area, Maple Hills Shopping Center and Oakdale and Mt. Hope cemeteries. Interstate 55 also runs through this area.
