5 Ways to Celebrate Christmas

Christmas is one of the most celebrated holidays in America and around the globe. With that being said, how do you start a family tradition that lets you celebrate Christmas in a memorable way?  Here are 5 great ways to celebrate Christmas that will create family traditions that will last a life time.

A Family Dinner

Many families celebrate Christmas with a formal dinner that includes turkey, ham and all the trimmings.  We dress up the tables with table clothes, cloth napkins, the fancy Christmas China, and the twelve days of Christmas themed glasses. Over the years we have tried implementing the singing of the twelve days of Christmas at the table, each of us singing according to the glass we have, but some of us do not have the best voice.

Regardless of how fancy your tableware is, taking the time to have a nice family dinner on Christmas is instrumental in celebrating the holiday season.  With as busy as our lives are, we don’t always take the time we should for family.  This Christmas, invite all those who are near and dear to your heart, and spend the day celebrating with a nice family dinner.

12 Days of Christmas Stocking Stuffers

The joys of Christmas start long before Christmas Eve.  It is a holiday that celebrates our beliefs, our faith and our love of giving.  That is what makes the 12 days of Christmas stocking stuffers so fitting.  It is a great way to celebrate the joy of giving, while sharing your faith with your children.  Using brown lunch bags and old Christmas cards you can create 12 charming gift bags and stuff them with inexpensive items that will help your children recognize the meaning of Christmas.  On the outside of each bag, you can tape special messages and pictures from previous years Christmas cards.  You will be delighted to see the looks of anticipation and joy in the faces of your kids as they open their holiday gift bags.  The 12 days of Christmas stocking stuffers is sure to be a tradition your children will love.

Christmas Ornaments

Our children grow up so quickly.  Before you even know it they are old enough to move out on their own.  On Christmas Eve gather up as many craft items as you can find in your house, and have each one of you create your very own Christmas ornament.  There are so many unique ways to create personal ornaments, I am sure you can find countless items in your house to make one with.  Pine
