Scary poems
Pit and the Pendulum and similar writings
great words in a creepy tale
There are many stories of ghost sightings
legends of bodies buried with rocks and shale
If you hope to find the story of the tell tale heart
Edgar Allen Poe would be the man
The father of all terror tales at its genre start
Scary tales and poems try to write as I can
Halloween can inspire
By using old legends new and old
The haunted house story line well known too expire
originality should be fresh and bold
Don't reuse those tired tales of terror
reinvent and create new stories totally unique
finding methods of not writing in error
novel ideas not commercial and boutique
Scary poems need to be rewritten
all of the scary ideas have been taken
Use tales of technology that are forbidden
topics that are not the norm and forsaken

I hear him coming, he's on his way
I get this feeling almost every day
I try to fight back, but he's way too strong

Scary poems
Can run from
Any mind
Real or fiction
Emotions are
On the tables
The cards take
Away our sleep
Like walking
Into Madame
by Jack Ivey
It stood alone, o’ shadowed crawls
Deserted docks of scattered stains
Rotted wood beneath my feet
Rusted hinges scream
by Shay Marie
I awake in a pool of sweat
Eerie dead silence in this place
Coming back here, I sure regret
Wait, do I see a faint gray
What I Fear in the Dark
I wander the creaky wooden hallway
Looking for some safe room's light
Away from a figure that is stalking
