Fire is bright and lights the night
and has done since time began,
fire is warm, fire is hot, fire is bright
and a gift to help woman and man.
Fire is used to regenerate the land,
by the oldest peoples on earth,
the Australian aborigines still stand
as the masters of fire and mirth.
They laugh and dance as the smoke is rising
and celebrate with a corroboree,
fire to them is natural and not surprising
their attitude is just, 'let it be'.
Fire has caused tragedy and death,
fire comes from inside the planet,
fire can take away your breath
and fire is essential to our needs being met.

Unequaled in perilous rage
A friend to man, when held in
