Family Thanksgiving
The food is on the table
Family gathered every where
We all stand in silence
As we offer up a prayer
Plates make their way
From the kitchen to the hall
As rooms fill quickly
Both big and small
Light chatter fills the air
As family members reminice
About the good days gone
And the family members missed
Tables cleared, dishes washed
Games can now be played
Will it be a hand of Rook
Pictionary or Charades
Games last for hours
Before people begin to depart
Another lovely Thanksgiving
With those dearest to your heart.
