My Man

My man is so precious to me
He has such qualities no other can see
Our life and the love that we hold
Means so much more to me than a world full of gold
Unspoken words that need never be told
My man

My man, though the times may be hard
We’ll play the game till we’ve turned every card
Our home and these children of ours
Bring back the day when we first made our vows
The hand of time is not measured by hours
My man

Harsh words and I’m reduced into tears
But they won’t wash away our love all those years
Our love and the power of a kiss
Is something I would not want to miss
If all the world were as happy as this
My man

My man, when I wake every day
You’re by my side and I so want to say
My heart is just beating for you
If you’ve got a worry, we’ll both see it through
You’re my man and I’ll always love you
My man

My man, now you’ve been taken from me
Your face every day, I no more will see
Left in my heart is a gigantic hole
But my love bears witness to your continuing soul
Till we meet up in heaven and both become whole

My Man
