Poetry: The love of a lifetime

by Zachariah Langley

Created on: November 05, 2011

First time I met her there was this spark

No turning back, the fire we never fought

Heat wave.. Electric snake... My whole life on fire.

Stole me, broke me, and made my free will a liar

Took it to heights of pleasure...

Our Earth was never quicker to surrender

Burned out.. Through with it.. She came... Like

Shadows over a grave

No true surrender

She loved me once an then she had to go away

I so love her still

Made of stone I placed her

And always with wings....
