Poetry: Inspired by James Bond

by Allan M. Heller

Created on: November 05, 2011

He's charming, suave and debonair

To that every woman will swear.

All his missions are a success

Of SPECTRE's plans he's made a mess.

He's foiled many a fiendish plot

He beats the crooks at baccarat.

He has more enemies than friends

And once in a while someone sends

A hired killer to bump him off

But at such amateurs he scoffs.

No one's managed to kill him yet

When they come he's ready, he's set.

He's killed many people, it's true

But it's something he has to do.

To exotic places he goes

He's always taking off his clothes.

But that's okay; his work is hard

From pleasure he should not be barred.

Remarkably fast with a gun

And though he's often on the run

It suits him best to be a spy

He's Britain's most valuable guy.

Though his is an exciting life

He's lonely since he lost his wife.

He does get injured now and then

But he always comes back again.

A game of cards, a gorgeous blonde

Nobody does it better than Bond.
