In the passing of time I came to know
That birthdays come and go
At year five thought and reason came alive
Nearing eight curiosity became my fate
By eleven I knew of heaven
Came fifteen I loved the prom queen
At twenty-one all my fun became undone
Nearing twenty-four, I wanted to work no more
Then came twenty-eight, I became a "Hippie" late
At thirty- two I dyed my hair blue
By thirty-four, I couldn't do it anymore
Thirty-five, through with sin, back to work again
At forty-two, with family new
I figured out what to do
Came forty-five, worked long and hard
Put a swimming pool in the yard
Nearing fifty, my life moved swiftly
At fifty-six, a visit with under-lord Hicks
My heart fluttered a time or two
I thought my life was through
Now at seventy-three
I wonder what will become of me
If I reach eighty
Just call me "Sadie"
