Fresh, crisp twenty dollar bill
It gave me such a fright.
Sticking to my window sill.
It makes me feel so very ill.
Such an unwelcome sight
Fresh, crisp twenty dollar bill.
Sprinkled with drops of the blood I spilled
filled with words I didn't write.
Sticking to my window sill
While the whole rest of the town was still,
someone laid it there last night.
Fresh, crisp twenty dollar bill.
Who else knows what is 'neath the hill,
hidden from the light?
Now sticking to my window sill-
Get away from me if you ever will,
If you seek me out, my secrets to spill
Fresh, crisp twenty dollar bill,
sticking to my window sill.
