Poetry: A score to settle

by Captain Geneve Rogan-Hawk

Created on: November 04, 2011

The night eternal embraces us tonight
A constant mirror to the torrent of anger
Coursing through our veins and intoxicating us
That beautiful red cloud of hatred blinds us
As we stalk ever nearer
With malicious intent
You have wronged us for the last time
My people and I have a score to settle
And this time, it will be written in blood
How the great king perished by the hands
Of those he thought to be weaker
This is how the opression ends
With the stench of death and a pale sunrise
