As I walk in my flat, strange ideas occured in my head. I couldn’t recognize the furniture. That sounds peculiar... yet even if I doubted I could have lost myself and entered someone’s else house, the living-room was blue ! And I love blue, I remember painting my house in a kind of blue light green, I think
Mind you, there are no such things as meeting strangers by chance in a house that belong to the unkown. Whatever chance might mean, I believe I had to trust my senses. Hum, well, I keep talking and talking and I hardly remember what I am saying! That makes me smile. Actually, it is not really a smile, it is a king of crispation of my face. I trust it sounds a tricky yet it is the truth. After a while, as I was there observing the house , I believed I heard some kind of crispy noises.
"hello ! Anybody in ?"
"Yeh", I shouted, "anybody is here. (That was the only thing I could say since I couldn’t remember my name"
A young lady appeared in the kitchen. I guess she was a girl, blond dark hair with greenish brown grey eyes I bet. The shape looked like a girl !
She looked at me amazed then she asked:
"Are they yours ?"
I look at the fruits on the table
"No, I replied, I don’t even know who they belong to ?"
She laughed
"No, I meant the glasses !"
'Thanks" I replied with a silly smile
"I took them, she added, I tried to wear them yet they are too big for my face ! Since my last surgery, I can't even recognize my eyes and my face looks funny ! I do not seem to be able to wear glasses anymore… and though I need them, I can’t really see, you hear."
She stood there for a moment, looking at me, making funny faces as if she wanted to say something...
I smiled in return. Then I spoke to myself. I didn't know why I answered the glasses were mine whereas I do not wear glasses.
I decided suddenly to go to the hall and guess what ? I found myself in the bathroom ! I bet I forgot to turn on the right or on the left hand side of the staircase. The girl was still there looking at me. She did not move. I gazed at her. She stood still.
Being in the bathroom I decided I might as well go in the hall where I previously wanted to go. There, I heard some kind of animals talking about holidays. I didn’t know animals could speak !
"Marc ? Sophie ? Are you here ?"
I stopped breathing. May be, I am, either Marc or Sophie, who knows ? No, Sophie must be that girl standing there in the middle of the room. I turned back to her again trying to start conversation. She didn’t reply. So I went back to the lounge then I saw …A maid! She was cleaning the girl !
"Hey, what are you doing?"
She screamed. From this moment on several people entered the living-room. They were all dressed in white , they came to me, called me Tom, asked me thousands of questions and then they forced me to follow them, next door. I didn't know what to do ? I could just throw a glance in direction of the blond girl and whispered a good bye
"I wish you well she said, see you soon"
Then I looked at the door, at the girl, at the people accompanying me. The tallest said something like :
"Are you sure ? I thought he was... Who can be sure ?"
Then I answered :
"Who cares… since what travels in my mind is as uncertain as all you see. Even if you trust your eyes, reality might sounds a little bit different to all that you can picture"
The door slammed.
"Now, I know nobody really knows. And I can assure you I love my neighbour's scultpture! It is so cute !
