The benefits with homemade body lotions is several; they are cheap to make, and you know exactly what ingredients goes on your face.

Using a homemade lotion is a natural way to invigorate, moisturize and replenish your skin so it will radiate that healthy glow of vitality. Here is a list of effective and easy to make body lotions.

Naturally, there is a wide variety of different suggestions for homemade lotions.

I find the following to be the easiest and most effective body lotions to make at home.

Rose and Lime Body Lotion

2-3 tablespoons of lime juice
3 tablespoons of rose water
1 tablespoon of glycerin

This is an excellent concoction if you suffer from dry skin. This particular lotion is easy to make, is easily absorbed by your skin without sticky residue and the glycerin will make your skin feel baby soft.

Almond Body Lotion

Ingredients:
3 teaspoons lanolin
1 1/2 teaspoon almond oil
1 teaspoon petroleum jelly
1 teaspoon vegetable lard
2 teaspoons glycerin
10 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon soap flakes
1 teaspoon cornflower
*add almond essence if desirable.

Heat the oils and water separately.
Remove them from heat and blend them well together.

Please remember that you could and should experiment with the proportions of the mixture to ensure you reap the full benefit for your unique skin type.
