Why France is famous for its cuisine

by Jon Coe

  • Writing Level Star

To put it all in perspective, the French do present their cuisine wonderfully. They are not afraid to experiment with their sauces. They have a very romantic customer approach and extremely lavish table arrangements.

Once you are in a French restaurant, you get the feeling that you are about to embark upon a first class world cruise of the culinary arts.

However, a goof friend of mine, currently living in Brittany, tells me that the only reason that French food has the reputation of being somewhat remarkably good, is that they ply their patrons with so much wine, before, during and after the meal; That it is no wonder that the diners leave the restaurant feeling that they have had the meal of a life time!

Thinking back years go, I threw a dinner party for about twelve people. I served very a basic menu. Everybody got drunk and they never stopped talking about the way I prepared the sausages!
