The best way to raise a happy child is to be happy. Lead through example. Teach your child to smile and laugh. Teach them not to take things so serious if it is not the outcome they want. Teach them to learn from their mistakes. Teach them to be the bigger person.
Encourage your kids. Let them know they can do anything they set their mind too. Let them try different things. Praise them whan they do good. A little praise can go along way to boost a child's esteem.
Use positive statements. Try to steer away from negativity and yelling. Begin at an early age to teach your child leadership skills. Teach them that they are important because they are who they are.
Give your child attention. Don't let them feel like they are alone in the world. Compliment them on things. Encourage creativity. Offer rewards when they do well. A child needs to know they are special to someone, they need to be loved and nurtured to grow into functional adults. Don't let your child down.
