Tips for keeping kids fit without team sports

Not everyone is made for playing team sports. However, this doesn't mean they have to sit around and do nothing. There are lots of sports that kids can do by themselves or with family and friends. A favorite of mine is bike riding. Playing on their bike in the park will keep them fit without them even considering it a sport.
When I was younger I would often join my dad in his morning jog. It kept me fit and gave me quality time with my dad.
There are lots of games available nowadays for computer systems that involved interactive game play or dance mats. These can be played alone or with others and all without leaving the house. Great for co-ordination skills and cardiovascular exercise.
The options are endless if you encourage kids to have an active life style. Even a walk along the beach or a trip to a swimming pool will help keep them fit.
Being fit is a life style and just as easy with or without team games.
