There are many ways to make Halloween not so scary! Just follow these tips in order to create a fun Halloween-styled atmosphere that can be enjoyed by anyone. Who says Halloween had to be terrifying!

The very first tip to a non-scary Halloween is to make everything cute! Ghosts, goblins, scarecrows and other spooky creatures usually associated with Halloween are usually what makes Halloween scary. However, if you recollect the tens or even hundreds of Halloween television specials you have watched growing up during your youthful years (Casper the Friendly Ghost and Scooby-Doo to name a few!), you might realize that they were very safe-looking! Try to purchase Halloween props with a very friendly-looking demeanor, nothing too ghastly or intimidating. Trust me, if even the most horrifying creatures carry a very heartwarming, genuine-looking smile, it won't look so horrifying anymore. You can purchase cute, non-scary costumes and props at many stores.

Another very great tip to avoid an overly spooky Halloween is to keep everything bright! Avoid dim lighting at all costs! Most people carry a natural phobia of dark and dank spaces, and it has the tendency to make people feel extremely uncomfortable. Keep everything bright! To do this, you might want to purchase Halloween themed flashlights for trick-o'-treating that are able to brightly illuminate the space in front of you. If you want to simply just decorate your house, use Halloween-themed light bulbs. Also most importantly, make sure you keep all the lights on to avoid fright!

A third tip to enjoy a not-so-scary Halloween is to keep the colors bright and festive! Dull and heavy colors can make an atmosphere look very creepy if done right. So, to avoid this, look for colorful colors when purchasing Halloween props and/or costumes. Choosing a white-waxed candle instead of a black-waxed one, for example, can do wonders!

And the final tip? Make sure there are a lot of people to enjoy the holiday with! As the old adage goes, "The more, the merrier!". With a lot of company, feelings of fright will dissipate. Make sure you invite all your friends and family for whatever you are planning to do this year.

The word, "Halloween" carries a deep-rooted connotation of spooky and scare. However, it doesn't need to be that way! As we have just proved, you can enjoy a very great Halloween without the scare. Just follow these tips and remember to have fun!

Happy Halloween!
