How to market your Helium article

How to market your Helium article: put it on the web and grab some attention!

Simple, right? Not exactly.

The two main strategies that I would focus on are these:

1. Myspace

If you really want more web-traffic, post links to your Helium articles on your friend's myspace comments. You may want to simply say "Hey, tell me what you think of this". People will be able to search for the words on the article, and hopefully read what you have written.

2. Digg.com

Theoretically, if your article was "dugg" by digg.com, you would have hundreds of thousands of people accessing your article. The revenue generated by such a media-blitz would be enormous. Servers often crash from being dugg, but it's sort of a jackpot in terms of web-traffic.

You can submit your own articles to Digg, by opening an account, writing the article, and then submitting it. The tricky part is writing a genuinely Diggable article. Digg.com is all about technology. My advice is to write a scathing technology review, submit it to Digg, and see what happens. This all depends on the popularity of your article, so choose a controversial subject.

(Being Dugg kind of defeats the point of making an article on Helium, I'm sure the ad-revenue generated by your own adsense blog would be much higher than the 0.005 cents per click on Helium. But hey, if it happened, you'd make some serious cash on Helium.)
