When it comes to stylishly wearing the latest fashion trends in women’s skirts, length does matter!  Hemlines are falling into the season with fabulous, easy wear designs and smart, fluid styles.  Full and sweeping skirt lengths are in high demand.  They help to evoke a modest yet sensuous feel, while beautifully highlighting the legs and complementing any look.

One of the most refreshing qualities about the longer length skirt trend is the wonderful freedom of movement that it allows the wearer to experience.  Ladies will now be able to more easily bend at the knees, and sit down with ease and elegance.   The natural act of crossing the legs will also be made into a carefree and less mortifying action, while the chore of getting in and out of a car will now become a casual event: just like a walk in the park.

Age also has no boundaries when it comes to wearing this season’s sensational longer hemlines.  The classic and more conservative knee-length and below-the-knee length skirt styles (or midi skirts) are particularly in high demand.  This style was once recognized as being the appropriate length for the 25 + years’ age group to wear; however these pieces are now being actively donned by women of every age.   

Their wide appeal has a lot to do with their adaptability to create figure-flattering styles.  When wearing as single colored separates or in patterned pieces, as long as the outfit has the same color tone and consistency, the visual illusion of a long and sleek bodyline can be created.  This helps to inspire a variety of slimming looks and flattering silhouettes. Creating tailored and city-chic, styles are also popular looks this season.  By simply replacing high boots and matte tights with tinted sheer hose and basic heels, there’s no shortage of smart, sexy and fashion-forward looks that can be inspired.  For the modern state of mind the maxi skirt styles rule; as light weight, floor-sweeping pieces gently flow over the female form.

As the days gradually get shorter, the weather gets cooler and the vibrantly colored foliage appears; the longer length skirt styles will also be ‘falling’ prettily into place.  The classic characteristics of versatility and sensibility that are attributed to the latest skirt trends this fall season will also create a number of feminine and stylish options for ladies to consider: especially when it comes to the variety of skirt lengths and fabulously carefree styles that are available.  However, no matter the age group, personality, or silhouette of the wearer there’s a figure-flattering skirt hemline to suit every woman’s particular taste and personal style.
