Laying on bed is my dearest friend,
twitching his eyes to get a clear glance.
I stood beside him while he was all in pain,
body wrapped in white, i know he will walk again.
Room is all gloomy with a silence as of grave,
thought to crack a joke, but I wasn't that brave.
My hands shaking as my eyes are filled with tears,
broken bones and disfigured face, was all hard to bear.
But I am adamant and certain that he will recover.
this dreadful phase of life and its agony will soon be over.
With sense of fear I held his hands whilst all alone,
clinging to his life like a dog on a bone.

I'm waiting with bated breath
