Poetry: Cats and dogs

by Supriya Zen

Created on: September 21, 2011

Cats and dogs as the name suggests,
are like two different poles , perfect pets.
Adamant and stubborn as they both are,
I remember my childhood and the scars.
Me and my brother are perfect example,
of cats and dogs fight that too in ample.
He would pull my hair and pinch me hard,
I would grab his hands and scratch till its scarred.
He was always relentless and sometimes reluctant,
like cats and dogs our fights were persistent.
I was the cry baby and would run to my mom,
complaining about the scars i got from.
Like cats and dogs we would yell and shout,
typical gesture of a bark and meow,
I would tease and mock to agitate him more,
he would run after me with what is left in store.
Those days were truly memorable and I still adore,
not because of the fights but the hidden love galore.
As we grew old our quarrel got fewer,
but cats and dogs will be enemy forever.
