No matter where one lives in Washington state there are many great fall festivals going on for young and old alike. Since fall (autumn) officially falls on the 23rd of September here are any festivals starting and going through that date.
Western Washington Fair (aka Puyallup Fair)
September 9th – September 25th.
Enjoy exciting music and comedy along with exhibits during the Puyallup fair. Watch a rodeo or enjoy the 4H animal and agricultural exhibits. Stop in and tour the culinary exhibits in the Home Arts and enjoy the textile creations as well.
Plenty of kids activities as well as some headline concerts including Selena Gomez & The Scene, Chicago, The Tacoma Symphony, Weird Al Yankovic, Miranda Lambert, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Trace Adkins and many more.

Autumn Leaf Festival
September 23rd through September 25th.
The Autumn Leaf Festival is Leavenworth's longest running festival. This event was started in 1964 with the adoption of the Bavarian Theme and continues as one of the major festivals. Events include a Grand Parade, Kids Parade, Crafts, Heritage exhibit, Art in the park, Music, dancing, wall climbing and inflatable toys. There is also a Front street dance.
Southeast Spokane County Fair
September 23rd through September 25th
Rockford, Washington
This Southeast Spokane County Fair is held annually giving adults, youth and local organizations a place to showcase their skills, produce and animals . Come join the fun as they compare their exhibits with their neighbors.
Whidbey Island Kite Festival
September 24th through September 25th
Coupeville, Washington
Set sail on a ferry ride and enjoy the kite festivities featuring both ground and air displays. Sit in on a kids kite making class, beginning sport kite lessons and demonstrations. Enjoy the highlight of the weekend in one of the competitions both as individuals, pairs and teams. Competitions on both Saturday and Sunday. There is something at the Whidbey Island Kite Festival for everyone.

Spend a fun filled afternoon on the streets of Issaquah with friends and family in search of treasures during their scavenger hunt. Participants will navigate Issaquah with a hand held GPS locating cache sites and taking a picture of it with their team. Each cache site has a point value as you work toward your team score. Oktoberfest in Leavenworth
September 30th through October 1, 7-8, 14th and 15th
Leavenworth, Washington
Enjoy this Oktoberfest in style starting with a parade and followed up with plenty of family fun activities and shuttles taking you to and from the various events. Good food, good music and plenty of family fun to be found here.
Anacortes Oktoberfest Bier on the Pier
October 7th through October 8th
Anacortes, Washington

With so many great festivals going on in Washington state you won't have time to be bored. So get up, get moving and plan your festival attendance at one or all of the great festivals that Washington state has to offer this fall.
