It stands to reason that the more people are paid the harder they work. Money is the great motivator, that is a fact. Furthermore, there is nothing like a big wage, to increase productivity and motivation within the workplace. Of course, if one is working for a manager who does nothing but moan, and is making your life miserable this can be offset by a big pay rise or a bonus at the end of the week or month. A big wage - or bonus - is compensation enough, because money motivates the most unwilling of us.
Whether we like it or not, money rules this world, and money talks. The more money someone is paid to work, the more they will treasure their employment. They will treasure what they have, and if people are offered certain bonuses or a pay rise, then they are more prepared to arrive early for work, and to get their heads down and earn their wage.
Money is the greatest motivator of all - more so than any kind of ‘pep talk’, or ‘pat on the back’, Yes, it is always nice to get praise for the job you do, and recognition of one’s work can also boost productivity. However, the biggest increase in productivity is an increase in wages.
For with an increase in wages, comes a marked increase in productivity, as explained above. The biggest encouragement one could receive for their work, is not just words of praise, but in monetary terms too. For money is a language that everyone understands and appreciates. Money holds more than its merits, and is proof that you are doing a good job, and that you are appreciated.
It is a reward for all of the hard work you have put in. However, when one is not rewarded for their hard work with either a bonus or a pay rise, then productivity will eventually suffer. Discouragement and dissatisfaction sets in and in turn, the company will suffer in the long run. This because workers will soon become disillusioned with working for a pittance of pay - as is the case in many places of employment today.
So, money does talk. Money not only produces productivity, but enhances the mood within a company too. All of it is a domino-effect and money is right at the heart of it. Anyone who states that money is not the overriding factor in people working harder, then they are mistaken.
For money is the be all and end all. it can be the beginning of everything…or the end of everything. And furthermore, money talks. People understand money because it speaks their language - a language that everyone can understand. And, with that understanding comes either increased productivity when a raise, or bonus is given…or abject depression when it is not…
