Walking is a good form of exercise that can be done anywhere, and any place. The city, and country alike allow the walkers to explore, and see the beauty their own environment has to offer. It is a relatively easy exercise to do providing the people involved are in good physical health, and can walk to the pace that is best for them. Walking with a partner adds to the enjoyment of this activity, and also gives each person the opportunity to talk to each other, and discuss matters that interest them in nature's environment.
As an avid walker myself I do set time each day (weather providing) to walk off into my thoughts, and ideas as well as cover the ground I want to traverse in my regimented plan. I like when my husband walks with me, because this time alone gives us the much needed time slot to talk about matters that are important to both of us, and our relationship as a whole. We can exercise, and discuss things in an open setting with no restrictions, and freedom to move, and chat at our own pace.
It is easy to bond and feel uninhibited to talk about anything that we are interested in. It is alone time in a sense, because even if there are people around who may be passing us, or in front of their homes the conversation can still remain private, and quiet. No one is listening to our discussion, and moving at a decent pace assures this. Walking also clears the head, and talking to one another creates a calming affect on the spirit.
Time is so precious especially today with the fast paced lifestyle we are all accustomed to. It is important to keep the lines of communication opened in any relationship. Each partner needs to be aware of what is going on in the others life. There are many elements of a partnership that may not be glamorous, but, need attention too. Finances, and bill paying comes to mind. What better time to discuss these things then when taking a stroll on a Sunday afternoon.
Each couple will define their own relationship. What is good for one couple many not be good for another. The basic everyday issues of family, money, living quarters, enjoyment, needs, wants and jobs are part of all relationships. Feeling a sense of unity, and closeness will help the relationship grow, and develop as the years go by, as bonding time is essential to every human connection.
A relationship is a partnership where each person contributes their thoughts, and ideas to sustain the union. A connection of two people who share their lives with each other. The key to any relationship is love, belonging, commonality, acceptance, perseverance, and communication. A brisk walk on a bright sunny day can open up the lines of discourse that will lead to a better understanding of each other, and the relationship as a whole. Walking together will help strengthen a bond and create a calming environment in a natural setting of stress free exercising as feet move, and thoughts are spoken and shared.
