Cravings in pregnancy can range from the normal common ones like cheese, ice cubes, drinking milk and wanting things that taste spicy to the more stranger cravings. It's the odd cravings that make other people and partners cringe sometimes but to you when your pregnant it's the most normal thing and you just have to eat it no matter what as the craving will only get stronger and strongest until you give in to it. Waking up in the middle of the night craving for your certain thing will have to be satisfied or you just won't sleep. Some people are lucky and don't have cravings but others have odd cravings that while you're pregnant seem normal to eat, but when you're not pregnant you would never even consider eating.
My mother had the odd craving to eat coal when she was pregnant with me, while I craved ice cubes all three times I was pregnant. On one occasion during my first pregnancy I did tuck into beefburger, with a pineapple on top then smothered it in whipped cream and must admit even though I would never eat it again at the time I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my friends used to stand behind cars when they first started up as she craved the smell of the exhaust, which not only was odd but quite dangerous, although she just wouldn't stop doing it. Another of my friends used to eat chalk and soap which I thought was disgusting. Everyone craves different things and some crave nothing at all.
it's just a funny thing during pregnancy, there are odd cravings that just have to be satisfied. During my second pregnancy, I woke up in the night and begged my partner to go to the shop as I was craving ginger biscuits. We lived in a village and luckily the lady who ran the shop was very understanding and served my partner the ginger buscuits in the middle of the night to stop me having the cravings. If you do have odd cravings try and do without them although things like chalk and soap won't kill you to eat, standing behind a car exhausts might do your health and the baby's health damage.
Enjoy your pregnancy, stock up on the things you crave then you're always prepared for when the cravings occur. Take time to rest and relax as much as possible.
