The Shaq attack is the primary reason the heat are winning. The inside/outside game the Heat play is suited perfectly for Shaq. The guards pass the ball inside to him so well and he is willing to kick it back out for an open jumper if he is being double or even triple teamed. Shaq is such a force in the key that if he gets the ball a few feet from the basket he is going to either score or get fouled, or both. This causes havoc for the opposing centre who will often get into foul trouble. Shaq is such a presence that his teammates are usually open for an open J, and most of them are quite good at making the open shot. There is no doubt Shaq is the main reason the heat are winning but coming in at a very close second is Dwayne Wade, he is a potent offensive force and when Shaq is out of the game he can help lead Miami. Both players contribute heavily to Miami's winning, and when its crunch time both need to be playing for the Heat to be able to win, as was the case in the '05 playoffs, the Heat struggled without Wade. If they are both healthy this year they could possibly go all the way.
