The words beautiful, old, aging, graceful - how do they make a connection?

Beautiful and graceful are qualities that delight the senses especially the sight. Old and aging are relative to having existed a long time. To be a beautiful old woman, one must have existed a long time and still have the quality of beauty.

Beauty being the physical appearance that can be characterized as the superficial aspects of what one might see in another. The beauty of an old woman might very well be hidden behind the gray hair, the wrinkles of life throughout her face and body and the slower gait that is guided by a decorative cane. Her beauty is from within. Is she aging gracefully? The answer is yes she could be. Do you see her charm, her disposition being of a helpful nature, goodwill and mercy in her heart? Then truly she is aging gracefully.

There are tips for aging gracefully. Each one of us knows and eventually admits that age is coming our way. How we handle situations will effect how graceful we are. Practice being a good listener and only say what you mean and mean what you say. Be aware of people's needs and be willing to have a helping hand. The years of experience are a treasure and when asked for advise be free. Kindness, love, and joy are all grace giving. It takes little effort but it does take aging to acquire some of these attributes.

2. Fix your hair and apply your make-up lightly
3. Wear clothing that complements skin and hair color
4. Choose clothes that are fit for your age and size.
5. Walk with your head up, like you own the world
6. Smile at everyone you meet
