OK for the guitarist who is just starting out.
These are a few of the songs I learnt when I first started playing guitar and trust me they are extremely easy!

White stripes - Seven nation army. Its just the same all the way through the song with just a few little extra bits added in which aren't hard.

All the small things - Blink 182. This song is good for learning to shift between power chords quicker and also introduces palm muting in a very simple fashion.

Dammit - Blink 182. Although I wouldn't suggest attempting the palm muting in this song if you are a beginner I would suggest learning the intro though. It's a great catchy riff and easy to play.

Brain stew - Green day. This song is the most simplest song to play ever with power chords. You'll pick it up in an instant.

For a little more advanced playing and people trying to finger pick or get used to picking properly I suggest

Time of your life - Green day. Once you get used to the rhythm trust me you will be able to play it.

Also: Wherever you will go - The calling. This is a great song to learn to play and gets you used to moving your fingers around the fret board more easier.
