Are you being judged unfairly because of your weight?
Being overweight is not easy, you are very harshly judged by others, as if you had committed some unforgivable crime. People assume that if you are overweight that you are lazy and sit around eating candy all of the time. That is not only untrue, but also cruel, heinous, immoral, unethical and mean.
To judge another person because of their looks or size is outright discrimination and those who judge should at least have the experience for a week, so that they can better understand their victims.
If you feel that you have to go around criticizing and judging other people simply because of their looks or size, then you are an extremely petty and ignorant person. You are either uninformed or ill informed and you should question yourself first rather than spend time being judgemental.
Overweight people are not overweight because they want to be. No one wants to be large, uncomfortable or offensive for other people to look at. The fact is most people who are overweight, are victims of their environment.
Job stress, money worries, fear of being homeless, of not fitting into the group, having a difficult childhood or even a frightening and traumatizing one, are just some of the reasons for weight gain. The worst of these weight-inducing offenders comes from what the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows in our food, air, water and medications! Yes, anti-anxiety drugs, anti-psychotics, anti-depressants, pain medications, steroids are among other medications that are either prescription or over the counter medications can all lead to a person being overweight.
The National Mental Health Institute (NMHI) is a government organization, that provides a list of medications that cause weight gain. Studies have shown that medications like, Zyprexa, Depakote and lithium, are all guilty of causing weight gain. These drugs are prescribed for Bipolar disorders, among other psychological problems. Drugs used for the treatment of mood disorders, seizures, diabetes, migraines and high blood pressure all cause weight gain of up to ten pounds a month. Steroids, hormone replacement therapies (HRT), even some oral contraceptives can cause weight gain; the FDA has allowed it all.
