Six steps of wisdom every young person should take to not only prosper in this world, but to also prosper in the world to come.
W-Word (John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. ) In order to take this first step in wisdom, every young person needs to know that words are what make up our relationships with friends and family. We also find out very early in life that words can be sweet and kind, but other times not so much. To be able to control these words, we need to watch out what we do. For example, if our Mom tells us to clean up our room, and we do the best we know how, the result will be words of praise, and maybe even a little snack after we are done!
On the other hand, if we just ignore her words, and go on about our merry business, the words that will come from her will not be pleasant at all, and it would probably result in some quiet time somewhere in a corner. Words are given to us to communicate with others, and if we control these words carefully, we not only become productive members in society, but we also become very valuable to our friends and families as well. We who are members of this awesome human race were made in the likeness of God, and we know by what the Bible tells us that God is Word! To control HIs Word we must watch out with what we do, with what we say, and with where we go, and it is all tied into the Words that God speaks to us personally.
I-Instruction (Proverbs 8:33 “Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not”.) Not only did God give us a mouth to speak words, but He also gave us two ears to hear them, and if done correctly, a young person can assure his or herself the second step of wisdom towards prosperity in this world, and also in the world to come. If instruction is received wisely, a young person will be able to not only control the words, but will also be able to build on those words to receive for his or herself a certain admiration from all those looking on. Refusing to accept this instruction for a number of reasons can become a block problem with this step. Young boys for example, are sometimes too proud to receive instruction from someone that is not their direct parent. This is why school teachers often have unpleasant confrontations with them, and have to resort to harsher measures in trying to get there attention, like sending notes home, or even keeping them after school. Young ladies on the other hand have a tendency to day
