I think to become a famous writer and earn good money to become wealthy you have to have that special book hidden inside your soul. Whether your a poet or a writer of fact or fiction it is something that not everyone can get down in print. I have had a strange and eventful life and to be able to get all the heartbreaking realities and funny stories down in print would for me be one of my ambitions and also a trial as I find that every time I start to write about my life I come up against a block. I remember things in detail and can tell you the stories verbally and some will make you laugh while others will make you cry tears of sadness, yet when it comes to writing it down. I fail every time, I do not have the patience to sit and write and this is one of the reasons I would never become a famous and wealthy author.
Another of the reasons is that I cannot write poetry either, I try and get my poems to rhyme and fail at this task too and although I know that all poetry doesn't have to rhyme, my poetry somehow comes out in a dark and dreary fashion so that anyone reading it would begin to think where is this author coming from ? So, at poetry I fail too. I am however good at writing short children's stories and can add a lot of humour and hide lessons in the stories to teach the child as they are reading, so maybe one day I will focus my talent for writing children's stories and finally begin to get recognised as an author.
I will say that however I wouldn't hold your breath as I'm getting to the age of wanting to do other things and not stay in writing on the computer all the time, so there are many reasons I cannot become a famous and wealthy writer,.
One, I cannot get the words down, two I cannot fall back on poetry, three, I find it hard to get time to myself and four the house I live in is constantly full of activity and noise which adds to the distraction of the peace and quite I need to be able to concentrate and focus on my writing.
Still, not everyone is cut out to be famous, and I am happy with my lot. I think it's more important to be happy with the life you have than to aim for the impossible and fail.
