Swirling thoughts fill her head.
Deepest shame.. Deepest dread.
Her head within her hands so gripping.
Tightly squeezing.. Stiff and frozen.
Bleeding from a wound left open.
“I hate myself ..I want to die.”
Over and over, within her mind.
Her heart clenched, within her chest so tightened
Unsafe alone, her friends all frightened.
“I sought the help I feared the most-
and found what I knew I’d need.
And in the end I feel it all. Now it will never leave.”
A life left scarred until the end.
An end which will come too soon.
For the only hope there was, brought dread.
Gun in hand.. cold metal, against her head.
Head gripped within her clenching fists.. alone, upon the floor.
In a heap of pain.. of guilt and shame, she imagines escape once more.

In my head,
Exists two people,
The before,
The after.
They are a puzzle,
With broken pieces,
I try to sort through,
To mix,
In my head I think I'm dead
I really can't be sure
For I know that since that day
My whole life's been a blur
My ears still
