I Take the Good with the Bad
I love him at his best,
When he is all smiles
And adoration.
I love the way he kisses me,
Gently, tenderly, sweetly.
I love that fire in his eyes
When he's excited
With a new idea.
I love the lilt of his voice
As he sings a new tune.
I love him at his worst,
When he grows weary
Of the day.
I love him as his eyes grow blurred
And frustration clouds his thoughts.
I love him even as
He pushes me away
When he gets lost inside his head.
I love the best and worst of this man,
Just as I knew I would
From the evening that we met.
How could I have known
Just how deeply in love I would fall?
Each day I love him more and more,
For I take the good with the bad.

I love him, when he's happy as things move along rather snappy.
