Turner Park is located on the east side of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The community is bordered by the Crosstown Expressway to the north, South Yale Avenue to the east, and East 11th Street and South Harvard Avenue to the south and west. Downtown Tulsa is only eight minutes away by car, and the University of Tulsa is adjacent to the neighborhood across Harvard Avenue.

Despite its proximity to downtown and the university, the neighborhood features a quiet, suburban ambiance, with single-family brick homes set along tree-lined streets. Turner Park and Community Center is right in the middle of the community, an easy walk for all residents. The park offers a lighted walking trail, tennis courts, and a pool, playground, and picnic area. The community center has programs for youth, seniors, and special family events.

Public education is provided by the Tulsa Board of Education. Will Rogers High School is located within the neighborhood on East 5th Place, and Sequoia Elementary and Franklin Youth Academy are both within walking distance. Private schools in the area include the Street School, which serves high school students, and the University School, which offers pre-K through eighth grade education. In addition to the University of Tulsa next door, area college students can also attend Tulsa Community College, Platt College, or Langston University.

Residents will find plenty of options for religious services right in the neighborhood. Houses of worship within the Turner Park area include Rogers Heights Christian Church, In the Spirit Christian Church, First Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eastern Oklahoma Presbyterian, and Crosstown Church of Christ. Shopping, dining, banking and other amenities are conveniently located along East 11th Street, and the Tulsa State Fairground is close by to the south.

The greater Tulsa area has plenty of attractions and entertainment to keep people of all ages busy. Fans of the arts can visit the Tulsa Performing Arts Center to see a Broadway play, symphony orchestra, opera, or ballet. The Center also offers events specifically geared towards children. The Tulsa Convention Center also hosts national acts, from music concerts to comedians.

The City of Tulsa is known as the "heart of Oklahoma" because of its diverse cultural and recreation offerings. In addition to the world-class performing venues, residents will want to pay a visit to the Tulsa Zoo, which features over 1,500 species, the Gilcrease Museum, which focuses on art related to Western expansion and the American Frontier, and the Tulsa Garden Center, where visitors can tour the lush gardens and historic home, or take part in educational programs.
