St. Joseph's hospital remembers Catherine Mahoney
She welcomed those who walked these halls
With equal favour, peace and grace
So patients here and workers all
Still feel the warmth of her embrace.
These halls and rooms through which we move,
Challenging thoughts that would defeat,
Are now still full of whispered steps
And as a living heart still beat.
When new hearts come to follow on
They’ll walk as we on this day tread
Learning her ways for when we’re gone
As values known by heart and head.
And as her spirit we renew
Our footsteps here will echo too.
