I have read many articles of people claiming to own the best vacuum cleaner. The selection of vacuums on the market today is so huge that it is impossible to really say which brand and model is the best unless we have tried them all.
A while back I needed some extra money and I answered an ad to demonstrate and sell the Kirby Homecleaning System. I actually did not truly like my job as I just couldn't get used to the marketing strategies to gain clients. So I decided to call people to let them know about a wonderful cleaning machine and did go on appointments to present the Kirby. I did not sell that many because I couldn't talk people into something that really did not interest them. Some of our sales people were truly good at that; I wasn't. Nevertheless, I did make my appointments and showed people the Kirby.
At every appointment I had asked people to get out their vacuum cleaner and to clean the carpets very thoroughly. This gave me an opportunity to see and test the performance of many cleaners, such as Mieles, Hoovers, Dysons, Rainbows, Tornados, just to name a few. The people proudly presented their vacuums and cleaned their carpets. After they were done I cleaned the same carpets with the Kirby. I still was able to pull out sand and dust that was trapped deep within the carpet.
Everyone was always very excited to see the possibilities of the Kirby, including the mattress power cleaning, cleaning and waxing of wood floors, tile and grout cleaning with ease, etc. Nevertheless, a large portion of potential customers would back off when they were presented with the price. The Kirby is not a cheap cleaning machine but it is the best on the market. And I can say that because we have compared it with hundreds of other machines in front of clients.
I have read a lot of negative stories about the Kirby, especially the one where people claim that it ruins carpets. It is not the Kirby that ruins carpets but the cheap vacuum cleaners that don't pull out all the sand trapped deep within the carpet. Every household has sand and dust whether you live in the city, in the mountains or by the beach. The friction of sand rubbing against carpet will make tiny cuts. Eventually you will have to replace your carpet. By using a Kirby and removing all dirt and sand on a regular basis, your carpets will last longer, stay cleaner and save you money.
According to statistics, a lot of people replace their vacuum cleaner with a new one every three years. In a 30-year period you will have spent at least 2000 dollars on vacuum cleaners that don't even suck 90% of the dirt out of your carpet. A Kirby will last you between 25-30 years and even uses less energy. So, in essence you will spend less money and have a cleaner house by owning a Kirby.
I don't work for them any more. Nevertheless, I have seen a lot of vacuums that all proofed to be lacking the performance of a Kirby. If you think your machine is the best on the market, I encourage you to contact a Kirby dealer to put your machine to test. I will almost guarantee you that the Kirby will beat your machine.
