Yes it is true, spring is almost here and with it brings warm weather, ice-cream and swimming at the lake, and the most dreaded, spring cleaning. This is the time of year that your house gets a complete makeover from top to bottom. This time is going to be different from ever other year because this time you are going to actual stick with actually cleaning the house, not doing a few rooms here and there and then going back to the TV and couch. So where do you start?

1. First off make a list of all of the things that you want to accomplish. Set a goal of when you would like all of these things done. Then think of something that you would like to reward yourself with after everything is complete so you have something to keep you motivated.

2. If you have more then one story to you house, start with the top floor and work your way down. Then choose the smallest room and work your way around to the biggest, that way you don't do the main room first, and then call it good.

3. Always keep enough cleaning supplies around just in case you come across some dust bunnies that require some heavy duty spray power.

4. Resist the temptation to watch TV when you clean, instead flip on the radio. Music is a good way to keep you motivated and take your mind off of things. Time will just fly by.

5. Don't forget to get everything really good, don't just pick up a few things and only dust around your knick-knacks. This is the time of year that you want your house to sparkle.

As long as you can keep yourself motivated and keep striving to reach your goal. You will have a shinny like new house to be proud of.
