Soccer interest is at an all time high since the sport gained popularity in the United States. It's a fast moving game and highly completive which sits well for young children as they are full of energy and competitiveness.
Parents are more receptive to the game as its a lot safer than some, while providing the child a way of releasing a lot of that pent up energy they possess.

All one needs to do is take a trip back in time to a point where this game was just for fun in the school yard, and you can understand why it can generate such interest as it provides a means to be able to play a game that is so much fun, and yet provide satisfaction for the child so as to be recognized as part of a team.

The game is a natural for both a physical well being as well as mental.
As it continues to gain in popularity children see an opportunity that can afford them a chance to participate in something that is highly rewarding in more ways than one. It's no wonder that interest is at an all time high, and will continue as more and more coverage of the sport make it the game of choice for both parents and thier children.
