Finding true and honest friends is hard to come by. If you are lucky enough, you will have found at least one true and honest friend.
There are many different variations of friendships. There are those who measure their friendships based on the success of their friends. There are others who measure their friendships based on what that person has to offer. Then there are people who do not measure their friendships at all and get along with everyone.
But who is your true friend? How do you determine this?
A true and honest friend will always take your side whenever you are involved in a dispute with someone else. They will stand behind you to back you up, even if they may think you are in the wrong. Later when the coast is clear, a true friend will confront you on how they feel about the situation.
This kind of friend will be open to constructive criticism. They will be able to accept any problem you have and can help you break it down to get to the bottom line.
If you should be so lucky to have found a friend like this, then you are blessed. Do not take it for granted and remember that a true friend will be there for you as long as you reciprocate.
