How to attract happiness through the law of attraction

Created on: August 19, 2011

By now many people know how the law of attraction works and how to use it. Birds of a feather flock together yeah? But they also affect the branches they perch upon. Still to most it remains hard to believe one may have a positive ‘vibe’ when one has daily problems to deal with. It is easier than one may imagine but one has to take the first step to discover how easy it is.

"Take the first step. One does not need to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.” Martin Luther King.

In our instant world with fast foods and instant coffee we often try to shortcut the ‘law of the farm’ as Stephen Covey may call it. Some things take a little more time than others so it will be required that we do it just a tad longer beyond the point where we usually give in. Just like farming it is essential to see things through beyond harvest time.

Many people would give up just before harvest time thinking “this does not work” If only they knew how close they were. Russel H Conwell made a speech called “Acres of diamonds” that he repeated more than six thousand times around the world addressing this very trait we have to give up right before we hit the mother lode and how just a little more tenacity and faith would see us through. It later became a bestselling book.

When we get that law of attraction is all about, creating our reality through the thoughts we nurture we will understand that saying ‘it does not work’ and thinking ‘it does not work’ becomes a creation in and of itself and thus dooming oneself to failure. One has to keep this in mind when working with the law of attraction because a little more tenacity can open a new reality for everyone. No exception.

Happiness is a little like faking it till you make it so in this case we are being asked to fake it a little longer. Lying to oneself does not work either so one is asked to see “the seed of equivalent benefit” as Napoleon Hill puts it in his wonderful book “Think and grow rich” Every situation is beneficial to one in some way and when you take the time to look for it you will see how every situation has good in it that can benefit one in the long run.

I recall a person with this attitude I dealt with recently. When I thanked him for his patience after making him wait for a half an hour longer than the norm his happy reply was. “No problem. I know the universe kept me here to prevent me from making
