Knock knock! "Who's there?" we ask in vain.
A rapping on the window pane
Evokes the demons deep inside
That just outside the window hide,
And those within do go insane.
And those without a steadfast brain
Had theirs eaten by the strain:
A bitten thumb at Mr. Hyde.
Knock knock! Who's there?
How much more can we refrain?
Deep down inside we felt your pain,
Forgot your faces as we cried,
And had to put that all aside,
For you dear friends are now our bane.
Knock knock! Who's there?
